Jr. Loan Officer

Turner Acceptance Corp., a consumer finance company with offices throughout the Chicago land area is seeking a Junior Loan Officer to join their new sales branch that will be located in Northlake, Illinois.
This position will work hand in hand with the Branch Manager. This position is primarily responsible for processing and verifying credit applications, assisting customers with payments and customer service related issues as well as servicing dealers with the credit application process and performing solicit calls to generate repeat business.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Opening and closing the branch
  • Achieving the expected results and goals established by the Branch Manager in terms of loan origination, credit quality criteria, ancillary product penetration, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with existing dealers
  • Working together with branch associates, as required, to insure the timely completion of tasks and projects
  • Helping customers during the credit application process
  • Promoting the company’s products and services
  • Meeting with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answering questions about the process.
  • Explaining to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those loans
  • Reviewing loan agreements and ensuring that they are complete and accurate according to policy
  • Performing marketing calls and appointment setting to generate more loans
  • Loan closings
  • Cultivating an environment where customers want to return and refer others
  • Approving loans within specified limits, and referring loan applications 

      outside those limits to management for approval
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bilingual, English/Spanish
  • 1-3 years of Financial/Banking/Sales experience
  • Extensive experience with customer contact and ongoing customer relationships
  • 2 year college degree preferred or high school diploma and 2 years related experience
  • Willingness and ability to relocate within a limited area
  • Ability to work all branch hours, including Saturdays, and some evenings
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills to effectively resolve complex customer issues
  • Extensive experience with customer contact and ongoing customer relationships
  • Proficiency with Windows PC navigation and software, including Excel and Word
  • Ability to take initiative, manages time effectively, and manages and adjusts priorities based on business demands
